I am a Lay Dominican also associated for more than 30 years with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Paul Province. Currently, I am writing my research proposal for the Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree in Practical Theology at Barry University (Miami, Florida). I earned the Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) from St. Norbert College (De Pere, Wisconsin) and in 2020 I earned an Advanced Certificate in Media Literacy from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in conjunction with the Daughters of St. Paul. I teach/lead/create Adult Faith Formation courses for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. As a member of the Board of Trustees for the Dominican Ecclesial Institute (an apostolate of the Central U.S. Dominican Province), I help bring richer Adult Faith Formation experiences to the Archdiocese. Within my chapter of Dominican Laity, I serve as a formation leader for Inquirers. In addition, I am a member of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Committee on Admissions and Scrutinies for the Diaconate Formation section of the Office of Deacons. In my home parish in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I am a proclaimer at Mass, an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion to homebound parishioners, and part of the Education Committee in my chapter of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. I served on our RCIA and Adult Confirmation teams for a number of years and I was a parish catechist for both elementary-age youths as well as teens. I am a semi-retired speech-language pathologist having earned my Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in that field at the University of South Dakota and the University of New Mexico, respectively. Currently, I am the Public Affairs Officer for a flotilla in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and I have a rescue pup named Sandy. I am a member of the Dramatists Guild of America as well as the Dominican Institute of the Arts and the Catholic Writers Guild where I review books seeking the Seal of Approval. Also, I am active in the Religion and Theatre focus group of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education. I have been with the University of Dayton VLCFF for ten-plus years, first as an e-learner and now as a facilitator.
