I am a perpetually professed Dominican Lay Woman also associated with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Paul Province. Currently, I am writing my research proposal for the Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree in Practical Theology at Barry University (a Dominican university in Miami, Florida). I earned the Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) from St. Norbert College (a Norbertine college in De Pere, Wisconsin) and I have earned two Advanced Certificates in Media Literacy from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in conjunction with the Daughters of St. Paul. I teach/lead/create Adult Faith Formation courses for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and am a member of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Committee on Admissions and Scrutinies for the Diaconate Formation section of the Office of Deacons. For three years, I served on the Board of Trustees for the Dominican Ecclesial Institute (an apostolate of the Central U.S. Dominican Province) emphasizing Adult Faith Formation experiences. In the Central U.S. Dominican Province, I serve as a writer and editor for the provincial newsletter for the laity, "Veritas." Within my chapter of Dominican Laity, I serve as a formation leader for Initiates and was elected to a three-year term as Secretary. I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my Cardigan Welsh Corgi-Rottweiler, Dominic. In my home parish, I am a proclaimer at Mass and an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion to homebound parishioners. I served on our RCIA and Adult Confirmation teams for several years, led the Education Committee in my chapter of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, and I was a parish catechist for both elementary-age youths as well as teens. I am a semi-retired speech-language pathologist having earned my Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in that field at the University of South Dakota and the University of New Mexico, respectively. Currently, I am the Publications Officer for a flotilla in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. I am a member of the Dramatists Guild of America as well as the Dominican Institute of the Arts and the Catholic Writers Guild where I review books seeking the Seal of Approval. Also, I am active in the Religion and Theatre focus group of the Association for Theatre in Higher Education. Hopefully, this rather technical background of mine gives you some confidence that I will be able to help guide you through our course. I have been with the University of Dayton VLCFF for ten-plus years, first as an e-learner and now as a facilitator.
