I am a Lay Dominican also associated for more than 30 years with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, St. Paul Province. Currently, I am writing my research proposal for the Doctor of Ministry (D. Min.) degree in Practical Theology at Barry University (Miami, Florida). I earned the Master of Theological Studies (M.T.S.) from St. Norbert College (De Pere, Wisconsin) and I teach/lead Adult Faith Formation for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. I am a member of the Archdiocese of Santa Fe Committee on Admissions and Scruitines for the Diaconate Formation section of the Office of Deacons. I am also on the Board of Trustees for the Dominican Ecclesial Institute (a ministry of the Central U.S. Dominican Province). In my home parish in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I am a proclaimer at Mass, an extraordinary minister of Holy Communion, and I served on our RCIA and Adult Confirmation teams. I was a parish catechist for both elementary age youth as well as teens for many years. In addition, I have facilitated days of reflection for religious congregations and associates, volunteered in pastoral care at the local teaching hospital, and was Animator of Koinonia on the RCIA Leadership Formation Team for the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. I am a semi-retired speech-language pathologist having earned my Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degrees in that field at the University of South Dakota and the University of New Mexico, respectively. I have a rescue pup named Sandy and I am a member of the Dramatists Guild of America as well as the Dominican Institute of the Arts and the Catholic Writers Guild where I review books seeking the Seal of Approval (SOA) “to help Catholic bookstores and venues in their determination of the Catholicity of a work.” I have been active with the UD VLCFF for ten-plus years, first as an e-learner and now as a facilitator.
