Maria Antonia earned a B.A. in Administration at the University of Sonora, Sacred Scriptures in Hermosillo, Son. Mexico and her Master's in Pastoral Ministries from Santa Clara University. She regularly contributes to the “Sabias que?” column in the diocesan "Compas" and "Byte" newsletter. Maria Antonia has taught in Catholic institutions and conferences for more than 20 years. Since 2023, she has served as the Associate Director of the Ministry Formation Institute in the Diocese of San Bernardino; she has worked in the diocese for the last 20 years in the areas of catechetical and theology.
