I am originally from Peñasco. New Mexico. I have a BA from the College of Santa Fe in Religious and Pastoral Studies. I have a minor in Social Studies as a part of this degree. I have studied theology at the Angelicum as well as have taught a variety of classes for adults in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. These classes include Church History, History of the Church in New Mexico, Collaboration in Ministry, Spirituality of St. Teresa of Avila, Gaudium et Spes and many Scripture courses I also hold an MA in Education from the College of Santa Fe. I have completed my Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership from the University of Phoenix where I taught Humanities, History, Religious Studies and General Studies classes which I taught on ground and online as well. My dissertation topic : Hispanic Young Adults and Their Experience of Faith and Church in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe. For 5.5 years I was the Director of Religious Education at a local parish in Albuquerque. I was in charge of the Confirmation and youth ministry of the parish for 8 years and sat on various parish and archdiocesan councils. After my time at the parish I decided to return to education full time and teach in the local public school system. I currently teach high school students Psychology, Latin and World History. In January of 2017 earned a Master's of Science in Psychology and in December of 2018 I earned a certificate in Teaching and Online Learning. I also co-teach Scripture courses and Integrative Curriculum for St. Norbert's College and have sat on and co-chaired Master's thesis classes.
