A native of Cincinnati, I earned a BA in theology from the College of Mt. St. Joseph in 1976, an MEd in Theology from Xavier University in 1980 and have done continuing post graduate study at Xavier and Mt. St. Mary's Seminary. I was a high school religion teacher for 5 years and a parish DRE for 17 before assuming a position as Assistant Director of Religious Education for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. As of August, 2010 I am retired to enjoy my family and do some teaching and writing. I reside in White Oak, a suburb in western Cincinnati, with my husband Jim. We have 3 grown children and 4 grandchildren who also live in the Cincinnati area.
