Dennis Johnson, Jr. is a lay ecclesial ministry professional whose primary focus is evangelization through the lens of formation and discipleship. His leadership includes roles in catechetical, diversity and inculturation, Hispanic, healthcare, prison/jail, marriage tribunal, and other ministries. Dennis has served in Bishops’ executive cabinets as a secretariat-head and has held numerous board and commission appointments. He has collaborated extensively with Catholic associations (e.g., NCCL, NCEA, NALM, NFCYM, and the USCCB). Dennis is a past president of the National Organization of Catechesis with Hispanics and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management serving on their Voice of Work Research Panel. After 9 years in seminary formation that included graduate studies in theology and divinity at Mundelein Seminary, Dennis founded a cross-national non-profit to assist the underprivileged in Venezuela as a missionary; he is bilingual (English/Spanish). Dennis obtained an MBA and is a Gallup-certified strengths coach and a Predictive Index trained-practitioner. He is the first-ever director of parish life in the Diocese of Orlando overseeing two parishes and is passionate about mission and ministry effectiveness by helping individuals, teams, and organizations to recognize, maximize, and optimize their talents as strengths. Dennis has taught in diaconate formation programs, facilitated online university course and webinars, and has been a keynoter, presenter, retreat master, trainer, and facilitator for numerous dioceses, archdioceses, parishes, national organizations, and international forums. He also collaborates as a national consultant for a major religion publisher.
