I am Filipino, turning 72 years old this year, widow, a mother of two sons and a daughter and doting grandmother to five grandsons who are my bundles of joy. I am in Dubai with my children and their families. I am an active servant of the St. Mary's Catholic Church Dubai (SMCCD) in the parish level as a Lector (on leave). After three years of serving as Catechist Support (Parish CCD), I took the Catechist Training program ECHOES in September 2019 until July 2020. Now, by God's abundant grace, I have completed courses required by the CCD Office of the parish up to Master Catechist level. I am also a member of the St. Mary's Church Filipino Community, served for a two-year term of Ministry Servant Leader of the Religious Formation and Evangelization Ministry. After this term, I am now Assistant Ministry Servant-Leader responsible for Programs and Initiatives. RFEM is in charge of giving formation to all Filipino volunteer-servants. I am also a member of the MultiMedia Ministry (MM) helping maintain the SMCFilcom website, editor/writer. I continue to facilitate the weekly Liturgical Bible Study and Reflection session primarily as mandated to Lectors and Commentators for the past seven years, the Emmaus as mystagogy and the Kateflix series of videos on Catechism as one of the core team of three. Before leaving for Dubai, I was a servant at the Greenbelt Chapel in Makati City for 25 years as its first Pastoral Coordinator, as Lector/Commentator, as Editor-in-Chief/writer, as Head of Education/Information Ministry. I am still active in our charismatic communities. I also served as head of the Education Committee and subsequently as President of the Parish Pastoral Council of St. Vincent Ferrer Parish in Tuy, Batangas, Philippines (Archdiocese of Lipa). I also gave lectures on faith formation (parish and vicariate levels) and put together a still unpublished booklet on Liturgical Bible Study for Lectors/Commentators. I also aided in the pastoral formation of senior seminarians. My walk in faith with God and with Mother Mary continues to be enriched and watered through the VLCFF courses through the years, hence, my desire to teach and share as a mother, as the abuelita to my precious grandsons, as a friend, as a Facilitator/Formator and as a Catechist.
