Teresa and I were married November 20, 1993 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Moscow, Idaho. We have 3 daughters and live on a family farm in Palmer, Alaska. Our 2 youngest daughters attend the College of Saint Benedict in Minnesota and our oldest is a CSB graduate and currently working towards a graduate degree through the University of Portland's PACE program. Teresa is a veterinarian and we are co-owners and operators of an animal hospital and pet resort. In 2022, I began working as a flight attendant to explore something new and enjoy the benefits that come with the job. I am a cradle Catholic and worked for the Catholic Church for 26 years in full-time ministry. In parish ministry I served as a Director of Youth Ministry, a Parish Administrator, a Pastoral Associate, and a Parish Life Director. During that period of time, I also served part-time as a member of an Archdiocesan Youth Evangelization Team for seven years. I worked in full-time archdiocesan ministry from August 2015 - July 2020 as Director of Youth & Young Adult Ministry and Director of Evangelization & Discipleship. I earned an undergraduate degree in Secondary Education: History, Health, Coaching, and Driver Education from the University of Idaho in 1993. In 2001, I earned a graduate degree in Pastoral Ministries from St. Mary's University of Minnesota. My thesis titled "Parental Perspectives" focuses on how youth ministry programs often become another item on a family's already busy calendar and should be adapted to be more family friendly, partnering with parents to raise happy, healthy, and holy teens. I have completed the VLCFF coursework to earn certificates in Youth Ministry and Foundations for Leadership in Ministry Levels 1 & 2.
