Bryan grew up on a farm in central Illinois with five other siblings during the 1960s and 1970s. As a child his greatest influences in the faith were his dad, the late Carl Reising, and his grandmother, the late Elisa Villiger Reising. Bryan went away for high school at St. Francis High School Seminary in Cincinnati where he began to discern his vocation in life. He went on to Quincy University where he earned his bachelors in Religious Education in 1983. He used this degree as a PCL and youth minister in the 1980s. In 1988, he married Linda Harper, and together they raised 3 children. They now have three grandchildren. After getting married, he went on to further his education at the University of Notre Dame and Loyola University Chicago earning his masters in Theology in 1990. From there, he and his wife worked with evangelization efforts at a parish level in Mexico City and Rockford, Illinois. For 12 years beginning in 1994, he was Director for Evangelization for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston. For almost 11 years, Bryan was the Director of Religious Education and Adult Faith Formation for the Diocese of New Ulm in Minnesota. Since 2017, Bryan is the Director of Evangelization and Catechesis for the Diocese of Beaumont.
