Melissa has a passion for encouraging others and leading them to Christ. She has over fifteen years of experience within higher education, ministry, training, nonprofit, human services, mentoring, biblical counseling and professional development. She obtained her bachelors degree in communication arts from Marymount Manhattan College. She then graduated from Liberty University obtaining a Masters degree in Human Services specialization in marriage and family counseling. She has a doctorate degree in biblical counseling and is a professional member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and National Organization of Human Services (NOHS). She has provided years of service in youth ministry and elder care. She is also a book reviewer for the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and is certified in clinical supervision. She is also a certified SYMBIS facilitator to help pre-marital couples. In addition, Dr. Maldonado has doctoral credentials within higher education and utilizing effective adult learning approaches.
