Location: Muscat, Oman

My name is Catherine Tcholakian Sabbagh, I come from Lebanon, Armenian Origin, and speak Armenian, Arabic, French, English and a bit of Spanish as I currently work for the Spanish Embassy in Muscat, Oman. I am involved with the Arabic Speaking Community spiritual and social activities at the Parish of the Holy Spirit Church, Ghala in the Sultanate of Oman (AVOSA), since almost 3 decades. I enjoy very much Catechism classes and always look for means to enrich my spiritual life. The Dayton courses fascinate me and I have so far taken around 20 online courses. In parallel I am also studying for the Certificate in Parish Mission and Ministry with the Maryvale Institute, Birmingham. Since the beginning of my involvement with the Arabic Community, I have been teaching catechism in different classes and ages starting from preschool to teenagers and in particular taking care of the preparations for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. I am blessed with four beautiful children and a loving and supporting husband. Our children are grown up and live between Lebanon and Australia, while our eldest lives and works in Oman. We get together here in Oman for Christmas, and in Lebanon for summertime and vacation. It gets a bit more difficult to see the Australian as often as I wish to ! My passion is to read, to teach, to study and to enjoy family time!
