I have been a professional minister in the Church for over 30 years. I hold an MA in Theology from the University of Notre Dame and a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from The Catholic University of America. My current areas of study and research include interests Roman Catholic -Orthodox dialogue and the theology of liturgy especially as this informs the theology of Eucharist, Church and Ministry. Pastorally my research includes work in synodality, mystagogy and the work of synodal implementation. I have taught both at the undergraduate and graduate level for twenty-five years, and have worked for decades at the parish level directing liturgy. I have published in numerous professional journals, book chapters, reviews, and columns. I strongly believe that the academic study of theology of the liturgy must be augmented by active pastoral experience and have worked to bring these two elements together for students and parishioners throughout my professional life.
