I am a husband, father, and a permanent deacon in the Diocese of Pueblo. I was ordained in August of 2011. I live in the San Luis Valley and I serve in the San Juan Catholic Community. My ministry has taken me to minister to men and women in several county jails in the San Luis Valley. I was a public school educator for 33 years. Most of those years were as a classroom teacher; the last six years of my career I was an elementary school principal. My primary ministry in the San Juan Community is catechesis and evangelization. My diaconal ministry is a blessing to me, it fulfills the longings of my heart. There is great joy in serving the poor and 'hungry' for Christ.
