My name is Fr. Paul Fitzpatrick. I’m a Marianist, living and working at the University of Dayton since July of 2021. For eleven years before that, I coordinated a program for the academic training of the Permanent Deacon Candidates and their wives at Chaminade University in Hawaii. Before coming to University of Dayton, I had a sabbatical year, first semester I served for nine weeks in Queretaro, MX helping at a parish and five months in Amman, Jordan teaching ESL courses to Iraqi, Syrian and Sudanese refugees through Jesuit Refugee Services. I will be working here at the university primarily in the VLCFF and Campus Ministry. After a number of trips to the Near East, Israel primarily but also Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon, a number of times, I hope to create trust and fraternity between different cultures, religions and peoples. I am organizing a Biblical Study Trip to Israel and Jordan in April of 2023, for those of you who are interested!
