I am currently the Director of Evangelization for St. Bede Catholic Church in Williamsburg, VA. I have been in this position for 10 years now. My has time flown by! I am originally from Wellsburg, WV and worked for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, which is the entire state of West Virginia, for 5 years prior to moving to Virginia. I had lived in WV most of my life before moving to Virginia. I love my job and living in Williamsburg! My previous experiences are as a religion teacher in the Catholic School system - teaching primary grades 3-8 before moving into a high school and teaching sophomores, juniors and seniors. While doing those teaching assignments, I also coordinated my parish's religious education program and taught the sacramental prep classes (Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation). I enjoyed every minute of these experiences. I began my ministry as the Director of Faith Formation for the diocese in February of 2009. A strong desire to be back in parish ministry, being able to minister to parishioners and journey with them led me to seek a different job. Now, I, along with a great team, work to make faith formation seamless, continuous and lifelong. My focus is primarily Initiation Ministry and I grow in faith myself journeying with people throughout the process. I enjoy reading, exploring the Hampton Roads areas of Virginia, exercising, and watching sports.
