This e-seminar is specifically designed for Catholic school administrators, faculty, staff, Board Members and families to enhancing their understanding for what it means to be a Catholic School in the 21st century.   The e-seminar presents the newest Standards, Benchmarks and Catholic Church teaching for nurturing the Catholic ethos of our Catholic schools.   This e-seminar was designed by Bro. William Campbell, SM, PhD, who has been a Catholic School Principal, Superintendent, former NCEA staff and now serving on the Marianist Provincial Council. He articulates the basic practical wisdom that can animate profound conversations within the Catholic School community.   There are a variety of models for implementing this e-seminar for an effective planning process within the Catholic School.

  • Be familiar with significant Catholic Church documents related to Catholic Education
  • Demonstrate one’s ability to promote Catholic Identity in the Curriculum, School Community, procedures and policies to support faith formation and excellence in Catholic Education
  • Identify how service opportunities and faith formation experiences intensify the ethos of the Catholic School
  • Become familiar with Best Practices around Catholic Identity and Culture being implemented in Catholic Schools today.

  • Semana 1: Foundational Aspects of Catholic identity and Culture for Catholic Education
    • Participants begin to know and understand the foundational aspects of Catholic Identity and Culture.
    • Participants can articulate how the various documents on education apply to their present situation with a focus on knowing and understanding the mission of Catholic schools.
  • Semana 2: Promote Catholic Identity in the Curriculum and School Community
    • Participants demonstrate the ability to promote Catholic identity in the curriculum, the school community, procedures and policies.
    • Participants can articulate how the various documents on education apply to their present situation with a focus on academic excellence.
  • Semana 3: Promotion of Catholic Identity and Culture through Service Opportunities and faith formation experiences
    • Participants demonstrate the ability to promote Catholic identity and culture through service opportunities and faith formation experiences.
    • Participants can articulate how the various documents on education apply to their present situation with a focus on faith formation.
