I currently serve as the Director for Community Engagement and Success with GivePulse, Inc. This is a new position for me since July, 2017. Previously I served as the Director of the Center for Civic Engagement at The University of Texas at San Antonio, since January 2014. Prior to UTSA, I served four years in ministry as the University Minister for Social Justice at St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. I continue at St. Mary's University as an adjunct faculty member where I teach a course on Civic Engagement and Social Action. I recently transitioned out of the Society of Mary (Marianists), after having professed first vows as a religious brother in May 2004 and final vows in October 2008. I continue to be active as a lay member of the Marianist Family, as part of a community in San Antonio and involvement with the Marianist Social Justice Collaborative. I have experience working in religious education having served as a consultant for two years in the Office of Catechetical Services of the Diocese of Cleveland. It was an enlighting and enriching experience of Church for me. Additionally, I spent a year abroad living and working with the Marianist Family in Peru. I am a proud 1999 graduate of the University of Dayton with a BA in Religious Studies. I hold a Masters Degree in Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis.
