Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States

In 2018, I'm celebrating 38 years as a Marianist Sister and have spent most of these years in Dayton. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada where I first encountered the Marianist Family and joined a lay community when in University. The science and spiritual call have always been part of me - I experience the Sacred most when alone in nature or with a group who is seeking the truth. I am an ecologist (PhD plant ecology/global climate change), pastoral minister (MA) and educator, and am in my 'dream job' directing the Marianist Environmental Education Center (https://meec.center). I am scholar for Faith and Environment with the University of Dayton Hanley Sustainability Institute and lead the environmental justice initiative engaging ecologists of the Ecological Society of America in alleviating environmental justice issues. I've served as Ohio coordinator on climate change and energy policy & environmental justice advocacy with Catholic Climate Covenant, OH Council of Churches and Union of Concerned Scientists. I also serve on the Provincial Council of the Marianist Sisters as Head of Temporalities and social justice and am part of our International team promoting the spirit of our Founder, Blessed Adele de Batz de Trenquelleon. Biking the Miami Valley trails is a joyful re-creational outlet.
