Hi! I was born in Lorain Ohio and grew up right on the shore of Lake Erie. The lapping of this Great Lake's waves was my nightly lullaby when it was warm enough to open the windows. After leaving the area for studies and other adventures, I returned to the Greater Cleveland area and have lived here since 1987. I'm in the twenty-second blissful year of marriage with Sue, a high school science teacher. Our son Tim is a recent H.S. graduate and Elizabeth is in 7th grade. We are parishioners at St. Mary of the Assumption parish in Elyria, Ohio. I most recently spent six years as full-time DRE at St. Mary's parish in Berea, just outside Cleveland. I previously ministered at St. Anthony of Padua parish in Lorain and Trinity High School in Garfield Heights, both in Ohio. I lived for 4 years in formation with the the Marists. (Not to be confused with the Marianists, even though they both have the initials S.M.!) I studied graduate theology at The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC during those Marist years, which also took me to New Orleans, Chicago and Buckhannon, West Virginia. I completed my Master of Arts in theology at St. Mary's Seminary and Graduate School of Theology in Cleveland in 2002. I received a BA in Interpersonal Communication at Cleveland State University in 1983. I was the chairperson of CORED, the Cleveland Organization of Religious Education Directors. For leisure I enjoy music, history, learning about and following weather. I also share in the pain of being a Cleveland sports fan!! I had the good fortune of attending no-hitters by Dennis Eckersley and Dave Steib, both thrown in Cleveland Stadium. I enjoy facilitating the VLCFF courses for many reasons, chief of which is the opportunity to accompany groups of God's children for this short portion of their journeys toward the fullness of God's Reign.
