Course Summary

El idioma español abre las puertas para introducirnos al corazón de cada persona que desea ser comprendida en su propio idioma y en su cultura. Este programa está diseñado para el ministerio litúrgico. Cada persona que se sienta llamada a este servicio, aquí, encontrará las herramientas necesarias para llegar a esos corazones sedientos de la Palabra de Dios. Este curso les dará la oportunidad de aprender las bases del lenguaje, con estas bases de iniciación al idioma, sentirán como su corazón y en su mente se abren a un maravilloso horizonte, donde podrán usar las cuatro funciones: la escucha, la lectura, la escritura, el habla; para una comunicación que dará fruto.

La pregunta que nos hacemos ¿cuál es ese fruto? El fruto de: poder comprender, escuchar, y comunicarnos con la persona recién llegada al país, la cual desea ser comprendida, amada, respetada en toda su identidad. Así, como Iglesia que somos, nos formamos para cumplir nuestra Misión de Evangelizar.   

Course Introduction:

Spanish language opens doors to delve into the heart of each person who desires to be understood in their own language and culture. This program is designed for liturgical ministry. Every person called to this service will find the necessary tools here to reach those hearts thirsty for the Word of God. This course will give them the opportunity to learn the basics of the language, with these foundational elements of language initiation, they will feel how their hearts and minds open up to a wonderful horizon, where they can use the four functions: listening, reading, writing, speaking; for communication that will bear fruit.

The question we ask ourselves is, what is that fruit? The fruit of being able to understand, listen to, and communicate with the person who has just arrived in the country, who desires to be understood, loved, respected in their entire identity. Thus, as the Church we are, we are formed to fulfill our Mission of Evangelization.

Se desarrollarán tres módulos en este camino de aprendizaje: Cultura, Gramática y Pastoral. /Three modules will be developed on this learning path: Culture, Grammar, and Pastoral.

Successful completion of this course earns 2.5 CEU's.

General Course Objectives

• Primer Módulo: Cultura/Culture 

  1. Desarrollar habilidades de comunicación para funcionar en diferentes tipos de cultura. / Develop communication skills to function in different types of cultures.
  2. Comprender qué es cultura y cómo funciona. / Understand what culture is and how it works.
  3. Identificar las dinámicas de la cultura interna y externa en nuestro comportamiento. / Identify the dynamics of internal and external culture in our behavior.
  4. Fomentar la integración eclesial en lugar de asimilación, con una espiritualidad de hospitalidad, reconciliación y misión. / Promote ecclesial integration instead of assimilation, with a spirituality of hospitality, reconciliation, and mission.

• Segundo Modúlo: Gramática / Grammar

  1. Aprender el uso del alfabeto, género, número, sustantivo, adjetivo y su concordancia. / Learn to use the alphabet, gender, number, noun, adjective, and their agreement.
  2. Usar los verbos en sus conjugaciones: tiempo presente, pretérito, futuro inmediato, presente progresivo, imperfecto. Verbos regulares e irregulares. / Use verbs in their conjugations: present tense, preterit, immediate future, present progressive, imperfect. Regular and irregular verbs.
  3. Aplicar el vocabulario y la gramática aprendida para elaborar reflexiones propias: salmos y algunas lecturas bíblicas. / Apply learned vocabulary and grammar to develop personal reflections: psalms and some biblical readings.

  
  Tercer Modúlo: Pastoral / Pastoral

  1. Estudiar Lumen Gentium LG, Constitución Dogmática. Capítulo III Constitución Jerárquica de la Iglesia: Episcopado, diáconos, y laicos; llamados a la santidad. / Study Lumen Gentium (LG), Dogmatic Constitution. Chapter III: The Hierarchical Structure of the Church — Episcopate, Deacons, and Laity; Called to Holiness.
  2. Oraciones que se llevan en el corazón. Padre Nuestro. Ave Maria, Credo, Gloria, etc./ Prayers to keep in your the Heart. Our Father. Hail Mary, Creed, Glory and more.
  3. Sacramentos, sacramentales, duelo. / Sacraments, sacramentals, mourning. 
  4. Salmos, lecturas bíblicas./Psalms, biblical readings.
