Course Summary
The Bible is filled with scenes in which angelic beings are employed to accomplish God’s will. Angels speak for God, worship God, and protect God’s people. This course will examine how the Bible describes angels and what they do on God’s behalf. Because angels are mediators of God’s action, the discussion of angels is more than examining one part of creation. Studying angels is studying God.
Successful completion of this course earns 1.5 CEU's.

- Week 2: Angels Worship at God’s Throne
- Recognize the difference between the Seraphim and Cherubim in the throne-room scenes of Isaiah 6:1-8 and Ezekiel 1:1-28.
- Week 3: Angels Guard God’s People
Compose a prayer to your guardian angel in light of the Jewish-Christian tradition of protecting angels.
The ministry most frequently associated with angels is that of protection. Participants will realize that this activity of angels is rooted in the Jewish tradition and that it is a reflection of God’s protective care. They will experience angels’ guarding presence in the Old Testament stories of Jacob and Elijah and the New Testament story of Peter. They will recognize that our present belief in personal guardian angels flows from this earlier tradition.
